Impact Investing: Actionable | Profitable | Exitable

Forbes calls Impact Investing the next big thing.  And a recent Barclays study found more than half of respondents expressed interest in it, but fewer than 9 percent had actively engaged.

At this 4th Annual Impact Investment Forum, we'll hear from fund managers, who've collectedly committed over $100 million in Impact Capital.  We'll hear the lessons they learned, the pivots they made, and the strategies they used to help investors see the opportunity.  We'll also hear about building an impact strategy for individual investors and family offices, how to tailor it to your needs, the role of angel investing, and due diligence.

Keynote Speakers

John Streur is President and Chief Executive Officer of Calvert Research and Management, an investment management firm that specializes in responsible and sustainable investing across global capital markets. Calvert is a recognized leader in Responsible Investing founded in 1976, and today is the largest and most diversified families of responsibly invested mutual funds, with $12. 1 billion in assets under management, encompassing actively and passively managed strategies.  Since joining Calvert as CEO in 2015, Mr. Streur has restructured Calvert with focus on investment research and emphasis on environmental, social and governance factors integrated with investment decisions.

 

Will Poole is Founder and Managing Partner of Unitus Seed Fund and Capria.   Will is a serial entrepreneur and venture investor, focused on improving ecosystems that bring opportunity to low-income populations. In 2012, he co-founded Unitus Seed Fund and Capria.   Based in Bangalore, India, Unitus invests in startups innovating for the masses in India with over $25 million in assets under management.  Capria is a global impact investment firm managing multiple funds that accelerate the flow of capital to deliver superior returns in emerging markets by providing advisory and acceleration services to impact fund managers, investing in early-stage businesses and impact funds around the world, and operating the leading global network of impact fund managers    

 

Brock  Mansfield is Managing Partner of the Salmon Innovation Fund.  He has more than 20 years of experience in early stage and growth equity investing. During that time, companies he has been involved with have generated nearly $700M in liquidity for shareholders. Since 2007, he has been an advisor to Keeler Investments Group (KIG), where he is responsible for KIG’s early stage and private equity portfolio. Recent exits include PitchBook (sold to Morningstar), Eden Rock (sold to Nokia), Torrent Technologies (sold to Marsh), Cleanscapes (sold to Recology), Full Circle Farms (sold to Capay) and Virticus (sold to LSI).  Currently active investments include M87, Samepage Health, Axon, Integris, CSATS, Modumetal, and Imprev. Prior to joining KIG, Brock was CEO of Colvos Industries after starting his career at Endeavour Capital.
