We are excited to announce the launch of the 1st Keiretsu Forum Vancouver Investor Summit Meeting at the Vancouver Club on Tuesday, July 25th from 11:30 AM - 5:30 PM.   We are excited to welcome investors and family offices  to join us from across Canada for thought leadership, quality deal flow and community.  

You cordially invited to join our valued members and investor guests to join us for the Keiretsu Forum Vancouver Summit.  We are excited to welcome three amazing keynote speakers, followed by six company presentations with Q&A followed by a robust happy hour social.

Keynote Speaker Biographies:

Kickoff Fireside Chat: Jeff Booth
is a visionary leader who has lived at the forefront of technology change for 20 years. He led BuildDirect, a technology company that aimed to simplify the building industry, for nearly two decades through the dot-com meltdown, the 2008 financial crisis, and many waves of technological disruption. 

In January 2020, Jeff released his first book titled “The Price of Tomorrow – Why Deflation is Key to an Abundant Future”. In it, Jeff offers his provocative thesis about the current state of our economies and what must happen to enable a brighter future.

Jeff has been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, Inc.com, The Globe and Mail, BNN, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, Bloomberg, TIME, and The Wall Street Journal. In 2015, he was named BC Technology Industry Association’s (BCTIA) ‘Person of the Year’, and in 2016 Goldman Sachs named him among its ‘100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs’.

Cleantech Lessons Learned: Driving Impact and Top-Tier Investment Returns: Keith Gillard is co-founder and CEO of UpperStage.Capital Inc., an impact-focused private equity firm boosting profitable companies to their next level of success. He is an entrepreneur and investment professional who has focused more than twenty years on impact investment. Mr. Gillard has provided leadership on the board of directors of dozens of companies, funds, and not-for-profit organizations. He is a proven fund-raiser, deal-maker, and business development matchmaker with an extensive international network, having close relationships with multinational organizations and leading investors across North America, Asia, and Europe.

ROI vs IRR for Angel Investors with Mike Volker & Ralph Turfus
Mike Volker
is an Entrepreneur active in the development of new high technology ventures. A University of Waterloo Engineering grad, Mike started his own company (Volker-Craig Ltd) in 1973. After selling his company in 1981 he decided to work with entrepreneurs in building new companies. In B.C. he spent a number of years as Executive Director of the BC Advanced Systems Institute, and then as Director of Simon Fraser University's Innovation Office. He founded TIMIA Capital as a public company that invests in young growth companies. Today he is CEO of WUTIF - the Western Universities Technology Innovation Fund - an "angel" fund for start-ups. Mike is President of the Vancouver Angel Network, VANTEC, and the Vancouver chapter of Keiretsu Forum. He's a director and past-chairman of New Ventures BC - an annual business competition. Mike was also chairman of the Vancouver Enterprise Forum for several years.

Ralph Turfus is an accomplished technology entrepreneur who has spent over four decades in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. He founded Escom Software and during the following 28 years launched 8 start-ups, all self-funded.  One such start-up was Class Software which became the leading provider in the world of software for municipal government recreation programs.  Ralph was the recipient of the 2015 BC Angel Investor of the Year award.
