Summer 2024 Investor Capital Expo – A Recap

On August 14 and 15, 2024, the North American private equity community gathered at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue for this premier event. The Summer Expo 2024 saw participation from over 800 private equity investors, engaging with 17 breakthrough companies and generating more than 1,200 indications of investment interest. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with entrepreneurs, ask in-depth questions, and explore potential collaborations.

Beyond the top-tier deal flow and networking, the Expo was also a wonderful stage for insights from industry experts. Nandita Jaya, Senior Program Manager at Microsoft, spoke on The State of AI. Heather McCulloch, Senior Fellow at The Aspen Institute, stressed the importance of gender equality in the modern workplace in her keynote Building a Gender-Equitable Economy. Matthew Le Merle, Managing Partner & CEO at Blockchain Coinvestors, shared his insights into the Future of FinTech & Blockchain Investments. Ronald Weissman, Chair of Angel Capital Association, shed light on AI Investment Market Update and its future potential. Evan Newell spoke in-depth about the possibilities at The Fred Hutch Innovation Lab. Karim Nurani, Chief Strategy Officer at Linqto, was also present to talk about Private Market Diversification & Liquidity.

The Expo concluded with the awards ceremony, with Timothy Youngblood, CISSP chosen as the Most Valued Member for his GRIT and unwavering support to the investor community. OtoNexus Medical Technologies was voted the Most Valued Company, followed by codeValet and Shoplift as second and third runner-ups.
