SURF Incubator Launch Party and Startup Demo Competition

Tech Startup Launch Party on Friday, June 22 at the Exchange Building

SURF Incubator will be holding its official Launch Party and Startup Demo at the Exchange Building in downtown Seattle on Friday, June 22. SURF officially opened its doors on April 30 to 15 startups, and in just a few weeks has now expanded to incubate more than 25 companies. The event will draw more than 400 attendees and will include an exciting lineup of startup demos, music, food, and a diverse array of libations from local wineries and breweries.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with the SURF community, which includes: resident startups, local entrepreneurs, mentors, sponsors, and other influential contributors. SURF will also publicly announce corporate sponsors and resident entrepreneurs. Those eager to connect with Seattle’s  tech  startup community  are  encouraged  to  attend.

Startup Demo

The Launch Party will feature a Startup Demo Competition where five SURF residents will compete for airfare and admission to DEMO Fall 2012 in Silicon Valley. Entrepreneurs will be tasked with persuading the audience in three minutes with four projection slides. The winner will be selected via a crowd- sourced text-voting system. This will be an exciting opportunity to showcase prominent Seattle startups and award them with exposure to a national community.

SURF TV

The launch party will also debut SURF TV – Seattle’s first video network dedicated solely to technology startups. Produced by Tim Reha, CEO of New Media Synergy, SURF TV will feature interviews with local technology executives, innovative entrepreneurs, and supporting companies and will feature resident product launches, news updates and educational seminars.

About SURF Incubator

SURF Incubator was founded in 2009 by entrepreneur Seaton Gras as a way to provide mentorship and meeting space for startups launching technology-focused businesses. In recent months, a local group of technology  entrepreneurs  and  tech enthusiasts  have  collaborated  to  advance  SURF’s  mission  and   opened a 15,400 square foot facility in downtown Seattle.
